Dr. Sabrina Kay is a self-made serial entrepreneur who comes from a diverse and successful business, education, and philanthropic background. She founded California Design College, now Art Institute of Hollywood, as the nation’s first institution for computer-aided fashion design. It became one of the “BIG 4” fashion colleges in California, winning various awards during her leadership. She is also the founder of Premier Business Bank, Fremont Private Investments, Fashion Umbrella, and LAdesigns, and a shareholder of Ex’pression College. In doing so, she has remained at the forefront of educating and empowering others to achieve their full potential.

Armed with an outstanding management team, Dr. Kay’s goal is to provide premium educational opportunities to a diverse group of aspiring professionals, closing the gap between the classroom and the workplace. She believes that Fremont College is the ideal vehicle to make a meaningful impact on the higher education community and corporate America’s learning system. She devotes her full energy in operations of Fremont College.

She has served in many senior leadership roles in civic, charitable, and political roles, including being Director of the Career College Association (CCA), Chairman of CCA Political Action Committee, a member of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) Bel Air Chapter, commissioner of the Los Angeles City Planning Commission, and a director of the Golden State ScholarShare Program.

As a philanthropist, she founded the Sabrina Kay Charitable Foundation and serves as chairman of After-School All-Stars Los Angeles and many other philanthropic boards.

Her TV show, “Assimilating into America” ran for two years, her radio show for over eight, and she has contributed to various newspapers and magazines as a columnist for more than a decade. She has also executive produced over 30 fashion shows internationally. Dr. Kay’s achievements were recognized by numerous awards, including Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst and Young, Woman of the Year by the State of California Legislature and Rising Asian Woman by the World Affairs Council, among others.

Dr. Kay holds an a doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School where she was a member of the inaugural class of Penn’s Work-Based Learning Leadership Program, an Master of Science degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, and an MBA from the University of Southern California, with highest honor.
