Thomas Levyn was the second three-term Mayor of Beverly Hills since the city's 1914 incorporation. As Mayor, Mr. Levyn created cutting-edge, innovative, and community-building programs. Mr. Levyn's Team Beverly Hills, the nationally recognized leadership symposium, continues to bring great honors and awards to Beverly Hills. While mayor, Mr. Levyn was responsible for balancing general and capital fund budgets approaching $250,000,000. In his second mayoral term, Mr. Levyn brought the Fortune 500 CEO Forum to Beverly Hills, serving as the host and featured speaker to this prestigious organization.
Mr. Levyn was co-chief labor negotiator, bringing successful closure to the historic four-year pact between the City of Beverly Hills and both the Police and Fire Associations. Recognizing the need for efficient, cost-effective legal organization, Mr. Levyn created and implemented the first-case management system for Beverly Hills, resulting in significant savings for the city. Mr. Levyn was the first Beverly Hills public official placed on a US Conference of Mayors committee. In addition, he traveled to New York City where he initiated the first dialogue and private face-to-face meetings with the chief executive officers of Rodeo Drive companies.
Mr. Levyn received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Southern California. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Law Center. Mr. Levyn is a well-recognized, leading expert in complex real estate and business transactions, and he has implemented effective risk management protocols for national real estate companies. Currently, Mr. Levyn represents public companies and private concerns with offices throughout the United States, including national banks, realty advisors, insurance companies, asset and property managers, equity investors, real estate brokerages, and hair and beauty product creators.
