The Fremont College Story As Unique as You Are
The school’s origin traces back to St. Joseph, Missouri in 1879, and the Southern California branch campus was established in 1986. Fremont College offers career-focused degree programs in the fields of business, legal studies, and wellness. The College’s intensive baccalaureate degree programs span approximately 2.5 years and its associate programs can be completed in 15 months.
When the third CEO of Fremont College, Dr. Sabrina Kay, started, she turned Fremont College into an innovative center for new learning models through practice and collaboration. During her doctorate studies, she strongly believed that any student could succeed in education through commitment and dedication, and that kinesthetic learning was important for students to practice what they have learned. Dr. Kay’s new learning methodology, Professional Action Learning, became the foundation of Fremont College’s teaching. Her Master’s thesis on Professional Action Learning, became the catalyst to adapt Fremont's learning curriculum to the demands of the workplace.
